Our Solution

An API that can be used on any fragrance retailer's site or internal fragrance database. In one click it translates descriptions to fragrances. No long questionnaires. No expert language is required. Anyone can ask ScentGenie for a scent in their own words and receive matches. The tech was inspired by real customers at Ulta who would rather describe what they were looking for than engage with a questionnaire. It was then tested with niche fragrance experts for accuracy. It is a fast, novel and intuitive solution for online, retail or even for internal databases.

How it works

We use LLMs to understand the meaning and intent of a user’s text input and translate this into fragrance recommendations. This allows for an open-ended experience not constrained by questionnaires. Scentgenie can be connected to any fragrance database and will match text descriptions to the best matches in that database.
